An extremely effective advance in air compressor technology...
...allows a safer work environment, and lower costs...
Benefits from EARS - Exhausted Air Recycling System:
* Decreases power consumption - lower costs, lower carbon emissions
* Avoids exhaust air noise - safer working environment
* Reduces tool noise - safer working environment
* Reduces airborne contaminants - safer working environment
* Insures closed air circulation - safer working environment
* Reduces warming of compressed air - less power needed, lower costs
* Reduces moisture content in air - longer tool life
* Warms compressed air tools - longer tool life
* Reduces compressor runtimes - longer compressor life
* Reduces air volumes - less power needed, lower costs
* Lowers acquisition costs - because a smaller compressor is needed.
The argument for EARS is irresistible: More air. Better Air. Lower energy costs. Quieter.

GLOBAL EARS HAVE IT
A significant advance in compressed air technology is being commercialized internationally at a rapid rate by Knoxfield based company Global Ears Limited.
The EARS stands for the ‘exhausted air recycling system’ which was invented by automotive engineer and company CEO Chris Bosua.
The Exhausted Air Recycling System enables the air that is typically used and then exhausted by compressed air powered tools to be recovered and is returned via a manifold back to the compressor.
The technology enables the volumetric capacity of a compressor to be increased by up to 80 percent while energy used and power consumption can be reduced by as much as 40 percent, so effectively a smaller sized compressor can perform more significant tasks.
Air-tool noise in operation is also reduced by about 50 percent with the elimination of air borne pollutants, while the life of the compressor and the air-tool is enhanced by a combination of lower temperatures and reduced moisture in the airline.
The EARS technology has won a string of awards for its engineering innovation and inventiveness and is subject to patents and trademarks in over 40 countries.
The most recent Awards reflect Global Ears success in the Governor of Victoria Export Awards ( results confidential).
Inventor Chris Bosua says that he and his investor colleagues recognized from the outset that more than ninety percent of the market potential for the EARS technology lay in international markets and the company has focussed on this from its formation in 2006 as an unlisted public company with about 39 shareholders.
“Consequently we have participated in 27 international trade fairs and exhibitions in the last eighteen months” Chris says.
Global Ears has now signed licence agreements or distribution arrangements for representation in most of the major markets especially in Europe, the USA and Japan which are considered to represent about 70 percent of the market potential for the technology.
Major licensing and joint venture agreements are already signed with two companies in Sweden and others in Germany, The Netherlands, Taiwan and the UK which return licensing fees, royalties and profit shares.
Chris is just back from attending two more major exhibitions in Stuttgart and Frankfurt which are considered the compressed air showcases of the world, especially for the major industrial markets of continental Europe.
“I have spent 318 days out of the last 365 days on the road overseas introducing our products and technology to the international compressed air and air-tools market, signing new licensing agreements and delivering training courses” Chris adds.
While the EARS technology and products offer significant advantages over traditional air-tool systems the company is working on several further improvements and innovations in compressor technology that are expected to significantly increase the demand for the company’s systems in the years ahead.
